The Ultimate Guide To Sports Tech In Brazil

Sports Tech in Brazil.png

Brazil is a special place.

I learned that during my first trip to Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

After returning from my one-week trip to Rio, I couldn't shake the thought of not only returning to the city, but living there. So, earlier this year, I decided to make the jump. I packed my bags and moved to Rio.

👉🏼 Learn more about my reasons for doing so here. 👈🏼

One of the main reasons that I decided to move, was to learn about the Brazilian sports tech scene. Brazilian sports companies don't receive much exposure in the US so I didn't know much about the landscape of sports tech in Brazil--and I wanted to find out. I had some questions and I was looking for answers. To find them, I set up meetings with founders, executives, and investors during my 3 months living abroad.

The meetings helped me to learn about the sports tech space in Brazil and led to a major discovery--Brazil's crushing 7-1 defeat to Germany in the World Cup had a profound effect on developing the sports tech community that exists today.

I also had another discovery. Conversation after conversation, I noticed a theme:

There is no centralized resource for the sports tech community. There is no list, or directory, for someone interested in sports technology to go to learn about the players within the space and the innovation taking place.

So, I decided to take it upon myself to create one.

Using the information I gained from my conversations with entrepreneurs and innovators, and through additional research, I created 'The Ultimate Guide to Sports Tech in Brazil.'

'The Ultimate Guide To Sports Tech In Brazil' is meant to be a resource to:

1) Discover Brazilian sports tech companies

2) Identify where the companies are located

3) Learn about the innovation happening in Brazil

*If you are searching for a specific startup or location, I would recommend looking up keywords to search more efficiently (e.g. São Paulo, eSports, etc)
